Sketchfab Weekly submission for the theme ‘Star' Decided to try a few new techniques with this model, went through a few different concepts trying to encorporate the see-through textures and landed on this. For anyone curious - the constellations surrounding the piece are Cancer, Capricorn and Scorpio, my big three star signs! Tulcea [ Romania 🇷🇴 ] has one of the latest testimonies of the steam engine navigation system and the only war paddle ship in the world.
It was build in 1903 at the Linz Shipyard in Austria, and later in 1916 the ship was adapted to war purposes, being armed with cannons, machine guns and 30 mines, which functioned during the First World War as a patrol vessel.
A whole week I tried to build and texture a perfect scale model using the correct dimensions and a lot of photos for references.
