I’ve been working on this project since mid January now and it’s finally finished! Everything is modelled in Blender and the textures are painted in Photoshop. Diffuse and Alpha maps only.
I thought I would create a scene with a small story behind it.
The mysterious tiny wizard was experimenting with his rare mandrake Root and home grown crystals. He found an old recepice on how to create a special magic potion with the ancient root. By trying it out, he mixes the wrong ingredients together, which turns out to be a magic spell for opening portals. Made a separate vanilla minecraft build using similar technique on making trees and plants from my previous cambodian build. Wanted to share this to show how detailed forest can be without using any resourcepacks and mods.
Used a lot of floating / combined plants for detailing. And also some biome coloring for green color variations (doesn’t show on this preview, but ingame)
Also testing out realistic plant shading in sketchfab (using minecraft lol)
