Here's a tribute to Pixar with a low poly recreation of Lightning McQueen from Cars (2006) in action. The recreation included an attempt of more accurate details of the paint-job from the first movie, and an extension of racetrack background. The remaining seven stones and the 3.7-metre (12 ft) long and 10.5-ton cover slab were inside the mound. I think its safe to say that she’s finally done. Began as an asset for a group project which never got off the drawing board. The idea was for a racing vehicle which moves at high speeds over water. I looked at retro and classic car and plane designs to get the initial concept done, and the design process snowballed into what you see here.
Specular and Normals are a little rushed but they do the job.
