Model SC-51 of the Harvard Museum of Comparative Zoology Collection of Blaschka Marine Invertebrates. This is an ~ 4-inch glass model of a sea anemone (“Phymactis pustulata”). This species of anemone is found in the Western South Atlantic, living in intertidal zones.
The glass model was made by the father-and-son team Rudolf and Leopold Blaschka in the late 1800s. Originally made as educational models, they are now in collections in over 50 institutions including Cornell, the Corning Glass Museum, Harvard and University College, Dublin.

3D model of Durian, the King of Fruits
Durian has thick and thorny skin. It is famous and well known as the inspiration for Singapore’s Esplanade. Not only so, it is notoriously famous for its overwhelming stench. Yet to some, the smell is disgustingly nice. Durians are also analogues of treasure chests with many compartments. Inside each durian is approximately 5 different segments with each enclosing 2/3 portions of creamy yellow coloured and textured flesh wrapping around a large seed. After opening the durian, the excitement comes to know exactly how many segments (and thus how many flesh of durians you get) there are. You can just keep splitting it open to find more “treasures”.
If you happen to visit Singapore, be sure to give it a try! Even if you hate it, it’s a once in a lifetime experience. …the dramatic collapse and then clearance of an historic bridge in Worcestershire was the end to its history. But a UAV Photogrammetric survey preserved the detail befor a new bridge was built. The work was commissioned by Worcestershire County Council and the resulting data used by the structuaral engineers and contractors.
