The equestrian statue of Marcus Aurelius is a larger-than-life bronze statue of the Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius. Its original site is unknown, but it may have been part of a triumphal arch on whose attic it stood. According to medieval sources, a small barbarian figure kneeling in front of a horse was part of the statue. The dating of the statue, which was originally completely gilded, is disputed and fluctuates between the years around 165 AD with a reference to the triumph over the Parthians in 166 AD, the 170s with a reference to the Marcomannic Wars and a dating only to the time of Commodus' autocratic rule from 180 AD onwards. A cast stands in the city of Tulln an der Donau. An 18th century bronze statue believed to be of the Roman Emperor Trajan (mistakenly referred to as Julius Ceasar by several excited tourists who stopped for a selfie opportunity, and did not read the plaque). it is situated next to a section of the London Wall near of the Tower Hill underground station.
Better photography focussing on the whole right arm and left hand would most likely have produced a better end result.
Model was created from 269 photos (probably could of taken more) shot with a Nikon D5300 (using a 18-55mm kit lens) and aligned on High in Agisoft (using medium level dense cloud).

A small, limestone figure of the soldier Sa-Djehuty son of Sat-Djehuty from the ancient Egyptian site of Abydos. Excavated by John Garstang in 1908, the statuette was found in tomb 643. It likely dates to the Second Intermediate Period.
Measuring just under 20cm, Sa-Djehuty wears a heavy wig and a kilt with a plain belt. Prior to excavation, the figure was broken and has now been repaired. The appearance of the two parts is noticeably different, with the upper half appearing bleached, while the lower half bears extensive traces of paint around the bands of hieroglyphs. Red paint is visible on the legs and torso.
The text reads “An offering which the King gives to Osiris for the ka of the living one of the town, Sa-Djehuty, born of Sat-Djehuty, by his sister who causes that his name live, the lady of the house, Beki.

This model has been made in Zbrush with textures added in Substance Painter. The model is based on a find at Broughton Roman villa during a Time Team excavation. The find was very corroded as you would expect and I wondered what it might have looked like when in use. I have used images of other similar coins for reference and created this model showing how it might have looked - with perhaps a bit of wear.
