A little scene created for the Little Cabin Challenge from Sketchfab, insipired by the woodcutter's house from Zelda Breath of the Wild ! This was created in a couple of days as I just discovered that Sketchfab did challenges a couple of days ago ahahaa ! This is my first time uploading to Sketchfab and participating to a challenge like that, that was quite a fun experience that I'm really excited to make again ! If I had more time this is what I would have improved : More details on vegetation and globaly on the scene, on the house especially (by creating an interior for example !) I hope you'll like it ! Why no billboard textures?: My models use meshes for individual leaves and parts. Typically a billboard texture will be used to reduce poly count in leaf clusters. However, my models are not intended for games/VR but for closeups in raytracing such as Blender Cycles. Models here use meshes with individual leaves because billboard textures are notoriously slow in raytracing workflows.

So, I decided to use this diorama school project as a way to explore what 3d can offer and how it looks it other completely different styles.
I went on a completely different direction from my first project (treasure chest) going from a some what realistic hand painted to the most stylized texture I could do. I decided to do cell shading for this one, although cell shading material doesn’t export to sketchfab I decided to duplicate every object and flip it’s polygons to give a similar ilusion, ence the diorama having the double of the budget tri on sketchfab.
