A sci-fi holographic computer I made that is loosely based off the IBM 5100. Originally created for Second Life, shown here in Metalness PBR. Textured in Quixel Suite and Photoshop, modeled in Blender with the HardOps plugin.
The hologram is static for now, it normally has an animation (in other engines) but I am still trying to figure out a good way to have both a smooth interpolated rotation of the rings on the bottom and a hard transition of frames on the main screen (only way I can currently think of is to use the frame-by-frame method here but that would require way too much mesh data for smooth rotation). Today i’m glad to show you the last project I worked on this month of February with some Friends.
Why ?
Cause no, it’s not a piece I plan whatever to sell, but It was about making a quick overview of a futur real project.
It was about an Archaeopark on the coast of the french riviera :)
The project is expected to include several building like a Noreia (ship covered structure) a Palestre (Gymnase), A villa, some Houses, a Bouleuterion and small Culte Area.
As you maybe know, the region was largely colonize by people from ancient Greece, who founded either counters or strongholds like
Marseille (Massalia) - Hyères (Olbia) - Agde (Agathé Tyché) - Antibes (Antipolis), Nice (Nicaia) through the coast.
So it could be cool to see theses reconstructed one day !
