At first it was planned that the Transfiguration Cathedral would be larger than St. Paul's Cathedral in Rome. In 1787, Empress Catherine II laid the first stone in the foundation of the cathedral. The Austrian Emperor Joseph II laid the second stone in the foundation of the cathedral. The construction of the cathedral was resumed in 1830. In 1835, construction was completed. The cathedral was built in the style of classicism, designed by Andreyan Zakharov. Requested by Charlemagne, Aachen Cathedral was founded in 8th Century in Aachen (Aix-la-Chapelle), Holy Roman Empire, now in Germany. Coronations of many Holy Roman Emperors took place here. The central part under the dome was a part of Charlemagne’s Palace, named Palatine Chapel. It is the only well preserved part of the palace left from the Carolingian era, and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Many extension building works were executed over the centuries, resulting in this peculiar appearance of the Cathedral with mixed architectural styles.
About the model
Texture: parts of the stone facade & relief texture, parts of stone window frames, parts of dome roofs, railing, roof toppers are modified from artworks for Canon’s papermodel by K.Yoshinaka / STpers. As for my own texture, I focused more on roofs, stained glass windows, sculpture relief details.

I modelled one of the rose windows at Truro Cathedral as part of one of my third year projects. It eventually led to a cast paper installation where I used a modified version of this model to rout a model out in insulating foam, then take a mould in plaster and finally cast in paper pulp.

3D Assets for a VR Game for the portfolio class project at HCC. I had the role/job of 3D Artist and was tasked with 3D modeling and texturing assets similarly to their real life counterparts. Then, importing assets to Unity while making sure they work inside the engine.
Credits to DELL for logos/original product designs and NEC plus other branding included. Some textures were custom made/tweaked in Photoshop, but most assets I did use official/external logos. Assets not for sale, made for educational purposes.
Special thanks to family and friends, class peers and prof. Chris Khuong for everything. Learned a lot while doing these assets.
Software used, blender and substance painter. Assets will be used inside Unity. Workflow includes baking with high to low poly models. Maya was used for re-topo revisions for some instances.
