Fuente de la Cabeza de Buey situada en los Jardines Artigas de Gaudí, en el municipio de la Pobla de Lillet (Barcelona). Juntamente con las figuras de el Águila, el León y el desaparecido Ángel de la cascada, muestran el marcado caracter religioso del arquitecto al formar una cruz evangelista dentro de los Jardines. Esta figura en concreto simboliza San Lucas. Para ponernos en un contexto histórico, cabe mencionar que los Jardines Artigas construidos entre los años 1905 y 1906, fueron un regalo del arquitecto modernista Antoni Gaudí al industrial sr. Artigas ya que este lo había alojado en su casa durante la estancia de Gaudí en el municipio debido a la ejecución de varios trabajos en esta localidad para el sr. De portada plateresca es la fachada del Convento de Dominicas de Santa Catalina de Siena. La misma pertenece a finales del siglo XVI cuando Roma anunció su fundación oficial, ya que el edificio había sido adquirido y fundado “extraoficialmente” como convento años antes por Juana de Mendoza y Zuñiga.
En su parte superior podemos todavía observar en el tímpano del arco restos de las pinturas con la imagen de Santo Domingo, que queda flanqueado por unas columnas de fuste estriado.
En el tímpano antes mencionado se hallaba también la Cruz de Santo Domingo, que sería trasladada de lugar en el siglo XIX.

This sculpture is the cenotaph (and empty tomb) of Francisco Moltó Valor who was the mayor of the city of Alcoy (Spain) in the year 1876 and an important businessman.
The sculptor was Lorenzo Ridaura (1871-1963) when he was only 27 years old. The work represents the three theological virtues: Faith, Hope and Charity.

In 1892, at the beginning of the infrastructure of potable water piping, the city hall of Ibi (Spain) erected three monumental fountains that were placed in the main spots of the city.
This one can be visited in “La Plaza la Palla” (Straw Square), it has an oval floor plan and in each one of the four sides there is a fish-tap where the water flows. At the top of the main column there is a little sculpture of a child holding a bird.

Procedencia: Tenerife, yacimiento desconocido.
Varón, de 30-34 años y de robustez media con una estatura de 1,76 m. Su principal característica es que conserva en el lado derecho del rostro, restos de patilla y barba, así como en la mejilla, huellas de barro de una tonalidad rojiza. Otro dato a destacar es la excelente conservación de su lengua y restos de pericardio, membrana que permite cubrir y proteger al corazón.
Al igual que MVG-001 y MVG-003, esta momia en febrero del 2011 regresó a la isla gracias al convenio firmado por el Organismo Autónomo de Museos y Centros del Cabildo de Tenerife, OAMC con la Universidad Complutense.

Over eight centuries old, the Bimaristan Nur al-Din, is the earliest surviving site for the development of Islamic medicine. Throughout the building’s lifetime, the site has functioned as a medical school as well as a place of healing in the heart of the old city of Damascus. Built in 1154, the building is characterized by its red brick muqarnas, elaborate entrance block, and finely carved wooden doors. The hospital was in use until the 20th century when it was converted into a Museum of Arabic Medicine and Science. The preservation of the building is a reminder of the major contributions of Islamic medicine to the world today.
