Hello there. A few weeks ago I found funny picture with juggling frog which made me smile. I like the concept so much so I decided to use it as reference to practice my 3d modelling and texturing skills. So here is the result. Hope you enjoy it. In order to internalize and learn about the workflow for videogames, I decided to take the course “Realistic Prop Creation for Video Games” by Paula Sánchez-Ferrero Ruiz at Domestika.
With my previous experience and the artist’s guidance, I proceeded to create a model that required baking and work on Zbrush.
All meshes were designed in 3ds Max. The main frame of the bed (made up of welded pipes) was later sculpted in Zbrush. A vintage 1964 blonde Fender Bassman piggyback amp. This is one of the rare transitional models, which features largely brownface circuitry and cosmetics with a black faceplate. This amp also features the desirable 6G6-B circuit, popularized by Brian Setzer. There are a couple of changes, namely the output transformer and speaker. Fortunately the ouput was replaced with an original Schumacher 125A13A, manufactured in late 1962. This transformer would have been pulled from a 1962 or 1963 Blonde Bassman, so it is identical to the original output transformer. The replacement speaker is a 1969 Oxford 12T6, which could have been pulled a pull from a higher-powered ‘69 Fender amp or could have been an OEM replacement for a blown original speaker.
