Hypostyle hall of the Hathor shrine at the temple of Hatshepsut was the most difficult part of the photoscanning project from scientific grant “Dialog” (under directory of Jadwiga Iwaszczuk PhD, founded by National Science Centre of Poland for collaboration of IKŚiO PAN (Institute of Mediterranean and Oriental Cultures, Polish Academy of Science), PCMA UW (Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archeology, University of Warsaw) and Ministry of Antiquities of Arab Republic of Egypt.
Model was created from 5159 photos taken during a one hour of light gap per day, when the temple is covered by the shadow of the mountain in the late afternoon, but with still enough light for sharp images. It’s a joy to be able to share my latest work. I am very passionate about this concept and since I saw it for the first time I was very excited to model it.
In it I was able to improve my modeling skills and be extremely faithful to the concept.
I was able to produce cool uvs and achieve a texture result that I was very pleased with.
