The school objective was to create a high quality game ready model in a month (the month being shortened to around 3 weeks due to Christmas break). For the model, I chose to create a medieval knight. The Green Knight, low poly was made in Maya, and high poly was made in zBrush. High res was sculpted in 2 days and low res was finished in around 2 days. The game res model was made using the quad draw tool in Maya and UVs were also cut in the software. When creating the low res, I also split some parts off in order to allow for customization as if the model had different armor sets. The textures were made in 4 days with the help of Substance Painter. I followed UE4 PBR guidelines and did every material as a procedural. I did this using generators, fill layers, etc. I did this to allow for felxiability in the texturing and allow for changes to be made if someone chose to 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 20460 polygons.

Hi everyone! Another exciting work in my collection! Idea behind this fire extinguisher was to create a hero asset based on photo references with as much less amount of tris I could get to maintain more or less descent close up quality. 5974 tris is my best result so far). Also It was a first time I was texturing with ACES LUT from Brian Leleux to achieve similar look in Unreal Engine 4. A combat knife based off the one Leon Kennedy uses in the recent Resident Evil 4 Remake. Made from scratch, I tried recreating the model and texture as accurate as I could get it to Capcom standards. This is more a practice run than an actual output for something truth be told, but maybe if I’m motivated I’ll import it into a game like Fallout New Vegas or something.
