In 2017 this unique piece was auctioned by a Anglo-Irish family from Co. Meath. Initally purchased by a US based collector, the item could not be transported as it is made of ivory.
The decendents of the original owners rediscovered it in a draw and put it up for auction.The ivory was obtained in the 1840s, and , and laster carved in China around 1899-1900 during the Boxer Rebellion. The auctioneer noted
“This was a very enlightened family, and this would have been a very loving gift from a husband to wife. You can see that because the level of detail is incredible, down to the folds of the skin. There’s a heart carved at the base of it, where her finger would have been, and a receptacle in which she could keep a lock of his hair.”

A photogrammetry scan of the Haunted Mansion Entrance Plaque. I remapped the UV texture and painted it in Substance painter. I wish it looked good but there are a few foreign triangles that look bad when zoomed in, partiallly from me attempting to reduce triangles. I hope it still looks good though. The original file was in misplaced in my old models folder and while I’ve seen many etsy sellers who have used this model, I cant find the original poster. Spent too much time modelling and rigging the skeleton and run out of time for some features i had in mind.
All made in Blender 2.90
Edit: I finally completed after a month of working on my spare time.
I changed the house for a more cartoony style. Been playing with the shader node editor to give the house more personality with procedural textures.

Halloween is my favorite time of year but I’ve never made a haunted house before. It was a difficult project because I’ve never really made a house before let alone one as complex as a victorian manor

This is a replication of a grandfather clock found in the Disney attraction, The Haunted Mansion.
Optimized low-poly and high-poly sculpt were made entirely in Blender. The model was then exported into Substance Painter for texturing.
