Another amazing lion sculpture from central Copenhagen. The sculpture is originally modeled by Auguste Nicholas Caïn (1821 – 1894). Cain, the son of a butcher, was a highly regarded animal sculptor who modeled large-scale works for public locations in Paris, such as the Luxembourg Gardens, the Tuileries Gardens, and the city hall.
