Better photography focussing on the whole right arm and left hand would most likely have produced a better end result.
Model was created from 269 photos (probably could of taken more) shot with a Nikon D5300 (using a 18-55mm kit lens) and aligned on High in Agisoft (using medium level dense cloud).

This model was created for a college project so any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
And just as a side note: I am aware that the underside of the model and the fact that the platform is poking out from the lava does look rather unusual, however the main reason for this is because I wasn’t originally planning to upload this scene as a physical model that could be viewed from any perspective, instead, once the model was completed, I intended to take a single, static render of the scene as if it were looking through the eyes of a player, and uploading that image to my Artstation account, meaning that I wasn’t really focussing on any of the areas of the model that wouldn’t be seen within the final render. 3D scan of a primeval dwarf horse (Eurohippus messelensis) fossil from Messel, which is todays Darmstadt, Germany. Fossils from this area are extraordinarily good preserved. That is because 47 million years ago there was a tropical forest around Lake Messel, and on its floor the oxygen-deprived environment prevented decomposition of the corpses that sunk into the lake.
This primeval dwarf horse of Messel is Number 28 of the NHM Top 100 and can be found in Hall 9 in Showcase 68 at the NHM Vienna.
