Juan Enrique - 3d character using an amazing concept by @Meng Fan on Artstation. Wanted to try something different and do a handpainted character. Happy with how this one turned out and had so much fun with the process. Sculpted in Zbrush, Retopo and Texture in 3dCoat, baking and rendered in Toolbag 4. Made this piece based on concept art called 部落 Mönkhtsetseg by Crispy Mushrooms! This was done over the course of 9 weeks during the CGMA course: Stylized Character Arts for Games with instructor Weston Reid! The character blockout and sculpt were done in ZBrush, retopology in Blender and CozyBlanket, baking in Marmoset Toolbag 4, texturing in Substance Painter and 3DCoat, and finally rigged and animated back in Blender! The class was challenging, but I had a lot of fun and learned a lot! I’m super excited to apply what I’ve learned in future pieces!
