A project for class where I had to make a reference sheet, sculpt a high resolution mesh, model a game resolution mesh, UV, and texture an article of clothing of my choice. I’ve been researching formal men’s wear from 1920 to the present recently, so that influenced my choice in clothing. Although, it was very tempting to sculpt my patch jacket. I think the quantity of patches would have been overwhelming, though. I have also been doing some art style studies. Lately, I’ve been admiring the TF2 artstyle and it’s versatility. The main intention behind this gun was to make it look old, rugged and intimidating, combining these to give an old-school feel. The mechanism of this gun is similar to a modern minigun, the body holds the magazine on hooks which makes reloading a slow task. The style of holding the gun is tacky due to that it makes the gun a bit unstable for the user giving it a hard recoil momentum and an old-school feeling. The gun has two gauge meters one indicating the temperature and another one showing the amount of remaining bullets in the magazine. I wanted to try a colour scheme different from the basic steampunk colours (Golden/Brown), to make it look different from other weapons.
