Prompted by the lovely staff here at Sketchfab, I have decided to research a bit more about the pistol this model is based on, and boy was it a fun read!

The design dates from the 1860s, and is attributed to Louis Dolne. The gun was manufactured until the end of the 1800s.
One of the rarest gambler/hide away/ personal defense deringers around. Incorporates a 6mm (22) rimfire revolver, “knuckles” that unfold to provide a grip for the revolver and a 2 1/2” folding dagger. Weapon is 4” long when folded. Expands to 8” when at full length. Pathfinder Gauntlets- I wanted to create a gauntlet based on my own concept design for extreme weathers, I went a bit sci-fi but not too much that it wouldn’t be possible to make as a real product. The indicators on each gauntlet show heart rate and body temperature as well as a satellite gps and the whole thing operates via built-in solar panels which on a single charge could lead up to 20 days.

I challenged myself to design and model a robot, this dude took me almost a full year to come up with. I’m so bad when it comes to imagining robots and I’m even worse at hard surface modeling. Another challenge I put on myself was to try and not use ball joints, It felt like I was cheating if I used them in my design. One of the biggest lessons I learned from doing this project is that not everything is just not going to be perfect. I spent hours fixing miniscule things, trying to get the perfect alignment when in reality it literally didn’t matter as long it was good enough. The design itself was mainly inspired by Futurama Robots and Team Fortress 2 MVM robots. Anyways I’m happy with what I’ve created. Enjoy!

This is a really fast easy-peasy project to test Blender 2.80 workflow and quality.
Modeling in Blender is awesome, has a complete toolset for every situation and nice modeling workflow.
UV Mapping can be better, i expanded with free addons, and for simple assets it working fine.
Shading with node-based workflow and eevee viewport in real-time is awesome, just… awesome!
Rendering… EEVEE is a blazing-fast real-time engine! Like it!
Compositing is a bit laggy atm, but it has potential.
Overall experience with blender is positive in many ways at the end!

Here is a rustic, ceramic, brown Netherland Dwarf Rabbit 3D model. This was created using Agisoft Photoscan. Its dimensions are 11cm x 7cm x 10.5cm. Photos were taken using a Samsung S8 phone, which has a F1.7 aperture and Pixel size of 1.22-1.4µm.
