Crabs were important motifs in Cotzumalhuapa art. The flat upper surface of Palo Verde Monument 4 suggests that this sculpture may have functioned as a seat or altar. The claws and legs of a crab are combined with the head of a mythical reptile. Palo Verde was an important center in the Cotzumalhuapa hinterlands and boasts a magnificent set of monumental sculptures. Currently in the El Baúl Museum.

Used 231 cross polarized photos and processed them in Agisoft Metashape. I sculpted the smooth parts of the model in Blender and then decimated the model in Agisoft and then manually optimized the lowpoly geometry in Blender. UV was also initially generated in Metashape and manually optimized in Blender. PBR maps were created in Substance Painter.

During the construction of a new riverside wall in 1962 in London, the remains of an interesting ship were found. Dating evidence from the timbers and a coin found in the mast step placed the ship as likely being built, and sunk, during the Roman period, specifically in the 2nd Century CE. However, the ship was constructed in the Celtic tradition.
The reconstruction is based primarily on the excavation report by Peter Marsden published by English Heritage, “Ships of the Port of London – First to eleventh Centuries AD”. It contained detailed drawings of the remains and reconstruction drawings. Where no evidence remained, such as for the sails and the rear of the ship, Roman period iconography and other Roman period shipwrecks from northern Europe were used as inspiration. The sail plan is based of the Torlonia relief, and the nearly intact mast of a Roman period ship found in Bruges, Belgium. Il prezioso manufatto bronzeo del XIV secolo, proveniente dalla collezione Luzzetti, appartiene alla tipologia dei lettorili liturgici a forma di aquila documentati, a partire dal tardo Trecento, su supporti autonomi. La presenza di artigli ricurvi ci suggerisce infatti che l’originaria collocazione dell’aquila doveva essere su una sfera, oggi non più esistente, sostituita da un capitello rovesciato di incerta datazione. Grandi e lunghe ali spiegate – con funzione di supporto del libro liturgico – mettono in mostra il bellissimo piumaggio, minutamente descritto con gusto calligrafico, che ricopre tutto il rapace.
