Raw photogrammetry scan 305 Photos Agisoft Texture downsized from 16k to 4096. This was a bit of a risky scan. I was worried about issues cropping up due to any change in the folds of the pillow when rotating or repositioning it. Thankfully this is a fairly stiff pillow and I was able to successfully get all sides in a single scan. There is a red banding issue on the back that does not exist on the pillow. I’m assuming this was caused by the texture generation process. Here is my most elaborate and intricate costume yet, a replica of a dress worn by Queen Cersei Lannister in Game of Thrones (seasons 3-6). This red and gold brocard dress also features very fine and detailed embroideries figuring arabesques, birds and the powerful Lannister lion. I spent 400 hours in this work, with 350 only for the hand embroideries! (I used 20m of italian mesh, 250m of golden threads, about 1400 beads and rings…) The 3D model has been computed from 445 Nikon D5300 DSLR 24 MPx images, aligned in low quality, with medium depth maps and mesh (decimated to 850k polys, with localized smoothing up to 15), and one 4k texture (sorry for the loss of details on the embroideries…). I was excited to discover in my research on the Temple of Zeus at Olympia (ca. 460 BCE) that the University of Heidelberg had made available online the published findings of the German excavations that began in 1875 (https://goo.gl/eyPAo9). In Volume 3, I found a photograph of the reconstructed east pediment sculptures (https://goo.gl/qLsfp3), which inspired me to paint it (since Greek statues were polychromed) and create a displacement map. “Pausanias…identifies the subject of the East Pediment as the chariot race between Oenomaos, King of Pisa, and Pelops, a suitor of Oenomaos’ daughter Hippodameia. He adds that the race has not yet begun. The quietness of the scene suggests that the specific event is the taking of the oath by the contestants before the race, watched over by Zeus…in the center of the pediment.” The remains are housed in the Archaeological Museum of Olympia. This is a very “quick’n’dirty” test I decided to finally upload as a first entry to the #AgisoftClothesChallenge . It’s not great, it’s not that bad either… This jacket is a replica of the black paneled uniform worn by military members of the Atlantis expedition in the Sci-Fi show Stargate Atlantis, and this specific version, made of ripstop fabric, is worn by John Sheppard during seasons 2 and 3 of the show.
