Made of beautiful white marble, this bust represents François Thevenot sculpted by Gazzeri (signature engraved on the lower rear side). It is one of the many beautiful statues in the “Domaine Chavat” in Podensac near the river Garonne. François Thevenot bought this property in 1914, restored the gardens which hosts many beautiful statues, including this one.
This statue is about twice life-sized, and the white marble is so pure that it is difficult to scan and volume is difficult to read in shadeless mode. The few specs of green are due to moss on this outdoor statue.
This work was commissionned by the french company Socra, as a preliminary scan before possible restoration of the statuary of the park.

Independence Monument is a victory column located on Maidan Nezalezhnosti (Independence Square) in Kyiv and is commemorated to the Independence of Ukraine.[1]
Stylistically it presents a mix of Ukrainian Baroque and Empire style. The monument was built in a compositional center of the square to the 10th Anniversary of the independence of Ukraine in 2001. The monument itself is a column with a figurine of a woman (Berehynia) with guelder-rose branch in her arms. The height of the monument is 61 m (200 ft).[2]
As a model of the Berehynia statue, the author Anatoliy Kushch chose his daughter, American artist Christina Katrakis. The statue is made of a cast bronze and weighs about 20 tons.
The column is faced with white Italian marble that stands on a pedestal in the form of a Christian temple of Ukrainian Baroque.

Due to aeronautic restrictions, I couldn’t get closer than 1km when I shot this place. I used a 200mm lens, so that the resolution is about 3-5 cm. Therefore it is a really unique model, neither drones nor planes can get any closer.
