As a member of the Chalcedony family, Bloodstone is a type of cryptocrystalline Quartz. It exhibits a conchoidal fracture and has a hardness of approximately 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs scale.

Sculpted and retopologized all within blender. HP to LP baking in marmoset. Texturing in substance painter. The mesh was subdivided once after retopo and loops can easily be removed to reduce polycount.

It was quite a challenge due to its particular design as well as the subtle hue shift in the concept. It was super interestingand I learned quite a lot from it! I tried my best to make it fit in some kind of Handpainted Diablo-like game! Maybe it could be a dungeon boss !?!
