Acheté par Robert-Lionel Séguin en 1963, cet instrument mécanique peu commun, à engrenage, de forme conique, servait de point de départ à un procédé original de mouture du grain. Il s’agit d’une fabrication spécialisée, très rare au Québec, réplique de modèles similaires utilisés en Angleterre et aux États-Unis au milieu du 18e siècle. Le système est actionné par des bêtes qui servaient de force motrice.
