Why no billboard textures?: My models use meshes for individual leaves and parts. Typically a billboard texture will be used to reduce poly count in leaf clusters. However, my models are not intended for games/VR but for closeups in raytracing such as Blender Cycles. Models here use meshes with individual leaves because billboard textures are notoriously slow in raytracing workflows.
