Cooperation with our friends at G-3D-PrintThe front cover of the jetski was scanned using Artec Leo in 15 minutes (including chalc sraying, markers, etc.) and the post-process workflow took about 60 minutes in Artec Studio. The jetski belongs to the world champion György Kasza and his team. The purpose of the scan is to make a perfect fit bespoke fabricated composite cover, therefore some reverse engineering was necessary to get a native CAD data (step) to be able to machine the mold for the composite. For this, weve sed Quicksurface's Autosurface option to get the nurbs surface based on the HQ mesh. 3D scan of a dodo skeleton. This specimen probably was put together from the remains of several birds. There is no complete dodo skeleton left, nevertheless the NHM Vienna owns one of the most complete skeletons. Dodos lived exclusively on the islands of Mauritius and Reunion. The last dodo probably went extinct about 1690.
The dodo is Number 80 of the NHM Top 100 and can be found in Hall 31 of the NHM Vienna.
