Based on RG Ross & Sons Steam Hammer from the 1900's The textures are not well realized just thrown together to create a tf2 like style. Texel density is largely the same except the screws where more was needed to show of the grooves. This model was an attempt to create new weapons for an old arena shooter. Wanted to try something a little more stylised this time round. I’ve been doing a bit of reading in to the art style and rendering techniques behind Team Fortress 2 (Over a decade old and still looking great!), and got the idea to adapt a basketball hoop i’ve been making.
You can see the hard surface topology is still in there, so this model (except the net) could be smoothed out quite nicely.
