In practice not every postman had a badge which led to inconveniences. This type of brass badge was introduced in 1718. The emblem depicts a mounted postman blowing in a post horn. Here is a photogrammetric scan (a 3D-scan made of ca. 150 photos) of a advertising pillar in the Swedish city Karlstad.
It was outside of Coffee House café, the patrons gave the weird looks when I was capturing the pillar but the object was too good not to photoscan.
Among the posters you see music poster from Danko Jones, religious evangalists, soviet communist symbols, and a lot more that tells about life in a fairly large Swedish city.

The 3D model presents a digital reconstruction of solid and riveted rings of archaeological mail armour.

To create 3D models of the rings, we used polygonal modelling functions of Blender software. In order to record the relevant measurements of the mail rings, we used a list of parameters. This list includes 11 parameters for a riveted ring and four parameters for a solid ring. The accuracy of the digital replicas of the rings was 0.01 mm. The authors of the reconstructions are
