Deep in the forest, near a lake, there is a house that might look abandoned at first, until you take a closer look. Who lives here, people ask, maybe a hermit that tired of the noise of a city decided to left everything, or maybe an old lady, whose husband passed away decades ago and now leaves lonely in her cabin, wandering through the wood. Maybe we will never know. There is a bike, right there next to the tree, but it have not been moved in ages, and the cup over that table seems to be fairly old. The tiny blue birds have built homes around the thick leaves hanging from the house´s roof, and the woodhouse is almost empty. Is it someone even living here? Knock on the door, if you have the courage, find out more about this forest loner and their history. This is my diorama for the 3D1 final assignment in Howest Digital Arts & Entertainment. The goal was to create a low poly scene based on a selected storyline using Maya and Photoshop. At the end of an overgrown road in the English countryside lives grandma in her lovely stone cottage. She spends a lot of her time outside, tending to her flowers in the old greenhouse, doing daily chores and enjoying tea time while telling stories to her beloved animals.
