This is one of the Ancient Lion Pillars that I had converted into a 3D Model with the help of Zbrush. Basically, I had made the pillar in Maya and then the lion’s skull in the Zbrush (This is my first time to work on it). Then I had combined them up, to put some cracks on the pillar so that it would have an ancient look. Then the same thing as it is (Low poly, Unwrapping and Baking). This old Jet Engine, Klimov RD-45 is situated in the courtyard of Universitatea Politehnica Timisoara, and I taught it would be a good project for my Masters Dissertation & Research paper. Took me around 50 hours in total from taking the pictures (600 of them), 3D model processing (6 models with different quality level and multi editing) and writing over 60 pages of ”How it’s made” plus a research paper with short but on point 3d reconstruction.
