I created this World Map for the mobile game Warlords. It is best viewed inside the game itself with all the animations and particle effects. It was a huge project which took several weeks. I started this project in order to practice my hand-painting skills as well as some more organic modelling. I used Zbrush, Blender and Substance Painter. I wanted to keep a painterly look, pairing rough brushstrokes and higher detail areas, to create a semi-stylized piece :) Cormorants are very striking birds and I hope you like my take on this one! ‘In China, tame cormorants are used by fishermen as a traditional method of catching fish.
