This is a project for the Academy of Art University's 3D Modeling for Games course. It's also as historically accurate a “viking" house recreation as I could make, rather than going with the Hollywood take. The loom, grindstone and hnef tavl game board I am particularly proud of. It's a game ready asset at this point, although I would like higher resolution textures if I ever use it for anything (the course limited texture size.) The 3D reconstruction was made by using historical block patterns, 2D scans of textile materials and 3d scans of contemporary actors.
