See a full explanation to this model: artstation.com/artwork/9GKVv I've been watching a bit too many palaeontology videos lately so I really wanted to model a dinosaur, one of them said, that Tarbosaurs might have had a throat pouch which really intrigued me for some reason and I had to try it out. I also made an efford to make it as scientifically accurate as possible. So here you go, the underdog of the Tyrannosauridae family: Tarbosaurus bataar. 7 years ago, I scanned this Nanotyrannus : https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/nanotyrannus-lancensis-young-t-rex-7b0967fa27674d959647868686b6717b . However, the model was far from perfect. I figured I would scan it again for the Agisoft Nature Challenge. This time, I managed to create a watertight model that should be 3D printable. I also set the number of polygons to 300k on purpose : half the weight of the original model, but with more details ! This is a cast of the real fossil of a Nanotyrannus Lancensis found in Gilmore, Montana, in the Hell Creek formation, in 1946. It is about 65 million years old. Scientists used to think Nanotyrannus Lancensis was a species distinct from the famous T-Rex, but recent discoveries tend to show that a nanotyrannus is actually a young T-Rex. You might ask yourself why the skull is not symmetrical : this deformation occured during the fossilization process. 3D scanned at the Museum d’Histoire Naturelle, Paris, France 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 300000 polygons.

This lime plaster block with a bilingual funerary inscription was discovered in 2015, reused inside an underground tomb chamber. The 5 lines of the central panel are written in monumental South Arabian script; the text along the rim repeats most of it in Aramaic and adds a date. 90 or possibly 97 of the Seleucid Era places the construction of the tomb in either 222/221 or 215/214 BCE.
