There are 4 main versions, the standard 1.8 XR3 represented by the Caribe Blue one, the Benetton special edition ‘Super Sport’ XR3, created in homage to the Benetton team win in F1 using Ford engines, The ‘89 nicknamed Escortwagen because of the partnership between VW and Ford, first year of the fancy cool bodykit, unpainted, and lastly the Fórmula XR3, which was a special limited edition featuring active electronic shock absorbers, a first in Brazil, an attempt of Ford to counter the ‘technologic’ gap they had against the competition (that had MPFI and other techy stuff for a long time before).
