This locomotive was purchased by the Staats Spoorwegen (SS) railway company of 30 from two different factories. 14 CC50 locomotives purchased from Werkspoor (Dutch) and 16 CC50 locomotives purchased from SLM / Schweizerische Lokomotiv und Maschinenfabrik Winterthur (Switzerland) factory. CC50 locomotive was imported in 1927 - 1928.
