First object to test out my new macro lens for the NX30. Does solid work, but i think there´s much room to improve. The leafes were particularly difficult to scan and required much subsequent sculpting. If anyone got suggestion on how to improve in marco photogrammetry or tips about workflows and setups.. throw them out. So this is a little experiment I’ve been contemplating on, inspired by the food assets in Monster Hunter and Final Fantasy 15.
I took photographs of an actual meal I cooked, and spliced them in Substance Painter with a few models I specially built from reference.
Nasi Lemak is a traditional Indonesian/Malaysian dish, consisting of spiced rice, coconut milk/shavings, a portion of meat (chicken) and fresh prawns, sometimes accompanied by a fried egg.
The hardest part was translating the lighting from Substance Painter to Unreal Engine, and I have recreated it as best as I can here in sketchfab.
