I tried to capture that childlike feeling of exploring new worlds, and I wanted to encourage the viewer to move up and down and around the model, discovering different views and perspectives of the scene. A concept that occured to me real suddenly one day, that i could vaguely see in my mind and I fleshed out as I went along while trying to preserve spider, bird and harpy traits or something.
