岡山壽天宮（福德祠）阿形 日本愛知縣岡崎市自古以來即以石雕聞名。其中明治、大正年間，岡崎石工店家「酒孫兵衛」製作的狛犬式樣，經同行間不斷地流傳與再創造，進而融匯成晚近日本狛犬最普遍的風貌式樣，而有「岡崎型」分類的說法。 此對狛犬位於岡山壽天宮後方福德祠，為民國七十六年改建時購自花蓮，根據老照片比對，應為原址在今花蓮美崙山忠烈祠、於大正五年 (1916）鎮座的花蓮港神社舊物。其中阿形狛犬足踏繡球，吽形狛犬足搭子犬，圓額闊口，體態渾暢洗練，豎立的尾鬃亦一波三折、飄逸扭動，體現出「岡崎型」狛犬的造型特色。 節自《臺灣石獅圖錄》陳磅礴著 Lion-statue-035M Polys:30127 Verts:15078 Lion-statue-035M 3D Model. The sculpture is originally modeled by Auguste Nicholas Caïn (1821 – 1894).
Cain, the son of a butcher, was a highly regarded animal sculptor who modeled large-scale works for public locations in Paris, such as the Luxembourg Gardens, the Tuileries Gardens, and the city hall.
The sculpture was created in 1879 and the copy was installed at Jarmers Plads, Copenhagen in 1889 as a gift from Carl Jacobsen’s Albertina Foundation.
