Tried out a new workflow with this piece, which is starting off with a base mesh in Zbrush, sculpt all details, bake the Diffuse and AO in Substance Painter, add Color Gradients to the Diffuse and use that as a base for my Handpainted texture! I learned a lot in the process in regards to zBrush and polishing my Handpainted skills when its about metal and cloth. But I also realised that I end up changing things up a lot in the final stage, which means I still rely a lot on my handpainting! Here is a new asset I’ve done for Star Wars Redemption, the Destroyer Class Acclamator ! I’ve done it using several plans and shots from assets arround the web/books, ( special thanks to star wars universe for their acclamator’s details here on sketchfab, it helped me to understand way faster how the ship’s shapes worked ;) ), and of course using same modeling methods I did years ago so this new model fits perfectly to the game =) ( it also has damn less tris ^^” )
