Like its neighbor, the Neveros fountain, it is one of the best preserved among the oldest of the 20th century in the Casa de Campo, in addition to having one of the most original and differentiated designs. Erected during the Second Republic as part of the series of drinking water fountains started after the public opening of the park to the people of Madrid in 1931, it is located on the shores of the lake in the surroundings of the “kiosks" of the southeast perimeter, next to the stream Meaques and the Lago metro, linking up with one of the essential arteries of the Casa de Campo, substantially parallel to the course of the aforementioned stream on its eastern edge. Like the rest, it has maintained the essential features of its original design, coming to commemorate, from its casual and groundbreaking layout, the liberating spirit of the new times under the wing of the Republic. A model of a jeweller’s piercing saw, typically using for cutting out fine intricate work in conjunction with something called a bench pin. The blades are typically very thin and formed into a spiral which enables them to cut in any direction. From my experience of using one they also break… a lot. :P I guess they would be the hand-powered equivalent of a scroll saw.

Hi all!
This is a project I’ve been working on for around a week and a half. I was set a project by my University to create a “well” in any style. I’ve always loved how stylized/hand-painted assets look in games such as World of Warcraft, League of Legends etc. So I wanted to take it upon myself to attempt this style. I’m overall happy with the final design, although if I were to spend more time on it, there are a few things I would refine.
