This project was by far the most challenging to texture because of all the details but it was super fun! It's based on the concept of Elodie Mondoloni (artstation.com/elodiemondoloni) and I just love her creativty and how she renders her paintings. That's why I wanted to explore her style, mix it with my own and see where I'll get with it. I could work on this forever because at one point you always notice another thing you could change but you have to move on. So, here it is and I hope you like it. I really wanted to make an asset related to Skyrim, but it became something bigger. You can see here a few things from “The Elder Scrolls: The Official Cookbook” as well (the Horker Loaf with bacon pieces was approved by the writer herself in her Twitter lol). I used projection mapping techniques to bake a high detail mesh into the 88poly model. Then I took that into substance painter and painted in some materials and details to get the results you see here.
This model was originally inspired from a tutorial by Arrimus 3D on youtube. I can’t find the original video, but he talks about projection mapping colors. Here is a link to his channel.
