  Mushroom House 3D Model 2023-11-03
Quite possibly my longest project. So long, in fact, that I had to squeeze two projects in between to rest my eyes. But the concept is so good that I wanted to do it justice and recreate it as faithfully as I could. The most challenging bit was the grass and I was scratching my head trying to figure out how to render it. In the end I used partially transparent planes with painted texture. It isn't best suited for 3D inspection, the illusion quickly falls appart, but I learned a new technique that will help me in future projects. I learned a lot in the process in regards to zBrush and polishing my Handpainted skills when its about metal and cloth. But I also realised that I end up changing things up a lot in the final stage, which means I still rely a lot on my handpainting! Over the course of the summer I made quite some 3D hand painted props for Ashleigh Warner’s CGMA course: Creating Stylized Game Assets. This is the assignment for the first week, we had to create three cubes with all of them having an unique theme. The focus in this assignment was on creating a texture with two unique sides, focusing on painting.
