I was looking back on my older work and decided I wanted to have another go at making an evolve based monster. Owning the art book I decided to develop a concept by Stephen Oakley of the Goliath (of which didn’t make it into the game). Having only one picture to go on has been a real challenge, but has been great fun and an awesome learning process.

This is the Rhinoceros Guardian, a game-ready heavy knight who is the impersonation of the term “Immovable Object”. Rhino is an original character, fully rigged (controllers and IK solutions are available on the blend file), fully animatable, and fully game ready. You can toggle the helmet off to reveal his face. He has 5 textures sets: Armor1 (head, chest, abdomen), Armor2 (arms and legs), Face, Lance and Shield. The textures are in 2k and 1k (face) but higher resolutions are available.

A palette-swapped, F-Zero GX-based 3D model of the Jody Summer trophy (from Super Smash Bros Brawl) to match the colors of my 2001 Volvo S60 (named after Jody Summer):
Red unitard to match Classic Red exterior color,
Charcoal-gray armor to match exterior moldings and interior color,
Black shoulder pads to match facelifted mirrors,
Smoke-gray boots to match gunmetal-gray-painted wheels
Blue gloves remained untouched to match brake caliper color,
Blue badge thingy, which is—coincidentally—near her heart to match the color of the engine covers.
This was an absolute cake walk to finish, and I had too much fun with it! Learned quite a bit about 3D model extensions from this, as well.
