This model is an almost exact replication of a JVC compact VHS camcorder I had lying around. I changed the company name for obvious reasons. I wanted to practice 3d modelling and texturing from a real reference object, so I chose this camcorder because of the round-ish shapes and the 80s vibes. This is a Ray Gun I made for my class at Edinburgh College. We were asked to produce a weapon with a Retro-Futuristic style.
After initially completing the Gold Variant, I decided to create an additional skin with a different colour scheme. I had a lot of fun creating this small & self-contained piece. I hope to continue expanding upon and improving it in the near-future.
Mesh was created with Blender 2.79.
Marmoset Toolbag 3.04 and Substance Painter 2018 were used for Baking & Texturing.

I made this inspired by the Nissan Silvia S13 car which was given police attributes belonging to a drifter from Japan which was used in the Doridore 2019 drifting event in Japan.
And also I was inspired by the Ford Mustang police car in the Transformers movie called Barricade.
So from that I tried to make something unique by combining cars that are usually used for drifting, then the car was given police attributes like those in the real world.
