Super excited to share this Silver hand themed chest I've been working on over the past 8 weeks in Jordan Powers' Aeon Core - Brushforge class! Many thanks to Jordan for his awesome and thorough feedback during the whole class and all of my classmates who've all done a stellar job on their projects! My main goal for this was to capure the World of Warcraft classic paladin aesthetic but base it mostly on the Knights of the Silver Hand themes and emblems. I also wanted to push my rendering skills with Jordan's help and chose a decent number of materials to render. Although I didn't get to do any organics (or wood) I still feel like my rendering skills have massively improved and am looking forward to future projects! This is number 1 of 4 swords created in 3D based on Ryan’s concept art. For one of my final modules in University I am creating 4 new portfolio pieces where I want to focus on asset creation without creating the concept art myself to see how they turn out.

And just as a side note: I am aware that the underside of the model and the fact that the platform is poking out from the lava does look rather unusual, however the main reason for this is because I wasn’t originally planning to upload this scene as a physical model that could be viewed from any perspective, instead, once the model was completed, I intended to take a single, static render of the scene as if it were looking through the eyes of a player, and uploading that image to my Artstation account, meaning that I wasn’t really focussing on any of the areas of the model that wouldn’t be seen within the final render.
