Antaria Online is a cross-platform casual MMORPG developed by Antaria, LLC. This is a large scale project that Thunder Cloud Studio has been handling the full-scale game art production from concept of environment, character, weapon system to smallest details like skills, item icons or game UI. The process required precision, technical setup as well as artistic so that the feeling of the game is unique and eye-candy even it can be run on a very low spec machines and cross platform later. Heavy influenced by Japanese chibi-style from Super Mario DS to Bravely Default, Antaria Online delivers a friendly yet dazzling visual which can easily make people fall in love at first sight and want to conquer every quests available. The goal is to convey the visual requirements of Antaria Online: a JRPG – characterized, lightweight, cannot be outdated easily yet looking as beautiful as possible. This is one of those projects in mind long time ago wich finally sees the light. But at last, my beloved Pirate is done.
I really love pirate´s stories since I was a kid. Reading a lot about that piece of history, I learned that sometimes is more interesting the real version than the romantic side of it.
In this case, my inspiration waved between the fictional character Sophia of A Plage Tale Requiem, (and her absolutely amazing dismissed concept arts) and the impressive Grace O’Malley (a fiery red headed Irish woman born in Ireland in 1530) who was known as a pirate and a trader that even got to meet Queen Elizabeth I.
Of course, Mary Reed, Anne Bonny, Elaine Marley and Felicia Moreno were also very important for the creative process <3

Game-Ready Stylized Tower
In this model, I wanted to make a game-ready asset with as low-poly as possible, and I was able to make the whole scene under 11,500 triangles while doing this, I took care to stay as the concept as possible.
I used two textures in the model. one for the Tower itself and the other for the bushes and grasses.
The model was made in Maya and the sculpt was made in Blender, the textures were done in Substance Painter and Photoshop. Rendered in Blender and composited in DaVinci Resolve.
