The Winchester Model 21 is a deluxe side by side shotgun. The shotgun's initial production run from 1931 through 1960 yielded approximately 30,000 guns. Winchester Repeating Arms Company ceased the main production line of this shotgun in 1960 and the Model 21 was sourced to the Winchester Custom Shop until the gun's retirement in 1991. New Winchester Model 21 production continues under license to Connecticut Shotgun Manufacturing Company. Made this piece based on concept art called 部落 Mönkhtsetseg by Crispy Mushrooms! This was done over the course of 9 weeks during the CGMA course: Stylized Character Arts for Games with instructor Weston Reid! The character blockout and sculpt were done in ZBrush, retopology in Blender and CozyBlanket, baking in Marmoset Toolbag 4, texturing in Substance Painter and 3DCoat, and finally rigged and animated back in Blender! The class was challenging, but I had a lot of fun and learned a lot! I’m super excited to apply what I’ve learned in future pieces! A detailed, photorealistic prescription bottle with PBR textures. It works as a real-time model (obviously), but it’s not game optimized. It renders very well in an offline renderer such as VRay or Modo. More renders can be seen here: http://bit.ly/2TfsiHc
This was modeled and UVed in Modo. It is a pure polygon model (not SubD), and only vertex smoothing was used. The textures were created using Substance Designer and are entirely procedural.
The included .sbsar file includes the ability to alter nearly all of the text, the colors, and the level of wear and tear. If you’d prefer to use texture maps, the .sbsar file can be opened and customized using the free Substance Player app, and the texture maps exported.
