Tried out a new workflow with this piece, which is starting off with a base mesh in Zbrush, sculpt all details, bake the Diffuse and AO in Substance Painter, add Color Gradients to the Diffuse and use that as a base for my Handpainted texture! I learned a lot in the process in regards to zBrush and polishing my Handpainted skills when its about metal and cloth. But I also realised that I end up changing things up a lot in the final stage, which means I still rely a lot on my handpainting! “Am I Truly the Last?“
When I was a child, I have seen 1hour of this movie and I looked for the rest all through my teens. Now, I know the last 30minutes of this masterpiece and the #StorybookChallenge was the opportunity to make a 3D piece in memory of my childhood.
The movie was based on a original story of the same name, so I decided to make this scene in a book with an aspect 2D to 3D because of the traditional animation found throughout the movie.
Thanks to my friend @Vailys for her tips and my boyfriend @Kalomnia for his advices during the process !
