This bowling alley seatting bench with tables and score sheet is from a 3D environment that I made at Full Sail University. Revisiting this project I cleaned up some geometry, laid out new UVs, and gave the model new textures. I added dirt, fingerprints, and dust to the textures with substance painter generator effects. First test with Agisoft Photoscan on a piece of lawn decor from my front yard. Showing here a game-ready low-poly LOD group.
PROCESS
32 pictures were taken on my T3i around the owl using Magic Latern for Dual ISO (gives me a higher dynamic range to cancel out shadows). These were then taken into Agisoft for point cloud and high poly mesh generation.
Once I have my high poly I take that into Instant Meshes to generate 3 levels of an LOD group (shown in my models here). These are taken into Blender for a quick UV unwrap, then re-exported to Substance Designer.
In Substance Designer I bake down my base colour, normals, AO, curvature, and position data from my high poly to each low poly in the LOD group. The base colour is run through some AO cancellation and the new high frequency/low frequency light cancellation nodes. The roughness is created using a generator which takes the AO and curvature data to create grunge. About 6 years ago (jul 19th 2016), I published on Sketchfab one of my first project with Blender. I discovered at the same time the anotation function that I found great to tell stories with a simple 3d model. This model was Yoshi Island. A model that has really aged (and is very ugly too :D). That’s why I wanted to update it. All is not perfect but the main thing for me was to see the evolution between these two models.

Why did I create this model?

Who is Brock?
Brock is originally the Gym Leader of Pewter City Gym but he decided to follow his dream to become the greatest Pokémon Breeder. After his defeat against Ash Ketchum, he quickly gave up his title. He accompanied Ash on his journey for quite some time, all while trying to live up to his goal. He currently wishes to be a great Pokémon Doctor. He has travelled with Ash from Kanto to Sinnoh. He is one of the main characters in the series.
