This prop has been one of the most challenging pieces I've done, but really fun to learn from. The model is based heavily off of Baldi Konijn's Dungeon Door concept art. https://www.artstation.com/artwork/3a0yo After creating the sculpt and low res, I tried to use the colors of the reference, and wasn't happy with how it looked. I instead used photos of Blizzard's recent showcase of Kul Tiras in World of Warcraft as a color theme. I am very excited to share this treasure chest I made for Jordan Power’s Brushforge mentorship. I created this chest over the past 8 weeks, from concept to model to textures. My goals for this project were to improve upon my concept/design skills, continue to push my texture painting and work in some animation. Inspired by World of Warcraft’s Goblins and their janky, needlessly dangerous gadgets. I had a blast working on this (lol)
