Original concept of a Noldorin Elvish sword, with a slight inspiration from the Malaysian Kelewang (for the upper curvature featuring the swan). Twisted hilt, lower quillon curved backward, intricately designed pommel with Azurite inlay. Runic inscription on the blade in Sindarin “The dancing swan of the west"… (At least I tried !). The model comes in 3 versions :
One FBX with a skeleton+skin+animation samples
One FBX without a skeleton (so you can import it in maya/3dsmax/blender…etc and rig/skin it yourself)
One AKT file containing the skinned, rigged and animated FBX. This file works with Akeytsu 2020-1-4 and above (but FBX could work on older version if needed ;)). You can get the software here : https://www.nukeygara.com/try .
The FBX is made to be used in realtime game engines and uses custom vertices normals (MIKK Tangent space)
Maps consists in 1 2K UVset, and uses combined map channels to reduce drawcalls (better performances)

This project was probably one of the more complex models I’ve done. I first worked on the handle of the saber first since that’s where all the detail resides. Throughout the modeling process, I would always forget to model a certain component after laying out UVs and textures, so I will have to go back and model it in.
